Clinical Psychologist

Salary: £46, 224 - £53, 789 p/annum (depending on skills and experience)

Location: Glasgow

We are working with the UK's leading charity who help people to thrive after a brain injury. I have several vacancies across their sites for psychologists with experience/an interest in rehabilitation/neuro rehab.

This is a purpose-built neurological centre which offers neurorehabilitation in an outstanding setting. People enjoy access to a wide range of therapeutic and recreational facilities in beautifully landscaped grounds in the heart of Glasgow.

This is a specialist neuro-behavioural assessment and post-acute rehabilitation hospital for people with a non-progressive acquired brain injury (ABI).

Key role & responsibilities for the Clinical Psychologist role:

  • To provide specialist psychological/neuropsychological assessment of adults with acquired brain injury referred to BIRT and related services.
  • To formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological and/ or neuropsychological intervention to support the neurorehabilitation of adults with acquired brain injury as part of the multi/inter disciplinary team.
  • To undertake psychologically based risk assessment and risk management for relevant service users and provide advice on the psychological aspects of risk to the multi/inter disciplinary team.
  • To consult with and provide specialist psychological guidance to carers and families of service users.
  • You will engage in relevant research and advise other professionals as appropriate.

Minimum requirements for the Clinical Psychologist are:

  • HCPC registration
  • Experience and/or interest in rehabilitation/neuro rehabilitation
  • Psychology experience
  • Good communication skills

Tier 2 sponsorship can be offered for the successful candidate.
