MSI Recruitment are seeking a Consultant Medical Oncologist for a full-time position in a South East of England hospital. London, Oxford, Cambridge or Birmingham within an hour, as well as several airports in easy reach. Hospital is a specialist centre for prostate brachytherapy in the East Midlands Cancer Network and treats patients from the local network and surrounding networks.
There is a HDR Micro Selectron which currently treats gynaecological and prostate patients. They will soon also have Skin brachytheraphy.Inpatients are accommodated in the dedicated Oncology/Haematology ward (Talbot Butler). There are 24 beds, two four bedded bays and 16 single rooms (including 2 dedicated suites for radioactive Iodine treatment). There is a recently built on-ward Emergency Assessment Bay (EAB) which operates 24/7, 365 days per year, for those patients who develop complications with oncological/haematological treatment with full time senior nurse cover.
Initially, the job plan is 10 PAs and includes 8.50 of Direct Clinical Care, 1.50 of SPA and 1 in 12 On Call (rota)
Minimum Requirements for Consultant Clinical/Medical Oncologist
- FRCP/FRCR.
- Demonstrated dedication to a career in Oncology
- Fully Accredited for Higher Specialist Training or will be eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date
Compensation Package:
- Salary: £93,666 to £126,281
