Your MSI International Talent Officer will guide you throughout the process of registering with the NMC and receiving a job offer.

Most of the members of the MSI International team have themselves relocated to the UK from other countries, and they have been through the same journey you are going through.

You will deal with your International Talent Officer until you sign your offer and you will then be passed onto your Compliance & Onboarding Officer, who will be with you throughout the whole process of relocating to the UK.

Below are some of the steps we can support you with:

  • CV formatting

  • Interview preparation

  • Visa application

  • Flight to the UK

  • Airport pick up on arrival

  • Preparation for life in the UK

  • Accommodation for up to 3 months (depending on hospital)

  • Info on local facilities

  • ….and many other things!

Salary offer

Nurses and midwives in the UK are paid in line with a national pay scale.

Before passing your OSCE and obtaining your NMC PIN, you will be working as a Healthcare Assistant for a brief period of 2-4 months.

Annual salaries for a HCA are between £22,816 to £27,596, which equals £1,901-£2,299 per month.

Once you receive your NMC PIN, your salary will increase to £28,407-£34,581, which equals £2,367-£2,881 per month.

Jobs in London are paid an additional yearly sum as follows:

  • Inner London area supplement: £5,132

  • Outer London area supplement: £4,314

  • Fringe London area supplement: £1,192

Please note, you should expect to be paid the lower amount in the pay scale, as this is your first job in the UK. Working in a new country and in a new healthcare system can be challenging (and exciting!), therefore you may need a year to adjust. However, after you become familiar with the new healthcare system, it will be easy to receive a salary increase based on your years of experience.
